Our Parent Teacher Association (formerly Parent Support Group) is a vitally important team of parents and other supporters of the school. It has a range of functions, as follows:
- raising funds through activities, to pay for ‘extras’ for the children
- raising funds towards whole school improvements - such as investing in outdoor play equipment
- organising whole-school fundraising events for charity (e.g. Children in Need)
- organising social events (e.g Summer and Christmas Fayres)
- supporting school events by providing refreshments
Over the past two years, the PTA has helped the school purchase the following equipment:
- £2,700 spend on ipads (see above)
- Approximately £2000 spent on revamping the KS1 area
- Over £1000 spent on Maths resources.
- Over £2000 spent on the Early Years outside area.
- £500 spent on Forest School resources.
- Over £1000 spent on picnic tables and a friendship bench.
All parents/carers and members of staff are automatically members of the PTA. An organising committee helps plan and coordinate events and fundraising.
